ARTISTIC CHARITY & 3daysofdesign

In conjunction with 3daysofdesign Lucie Kaas developed an installation titled “When we leave our homes, where do we go?” in an effort to raise focus towards the global refugee crisis. The installation was developed together with curator Jens-Peter Brask who is the visionary behind the Mønten area of Nordvest, Northern-Europe’s largest open-air gallery. Fifteen artists from around the world individually painted a 60 cm kokeshi figure where they were free to decorate while still respecting the kokeshi form. The sculptures were later auctioned off to raise funds for the DRC Danish Refugee Council. Bruun Rasmussen, Scandinavia’s most prestigious and premier auction house, was the host of the bidding.
